CopyCat helps you find possible copies of your work online, keep proof-of-creation records, and prepare takedown notices. The CopyCat browser extension can fill in a platform’s report form for you; you review and submit it from your own account. CopyCat is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
Only upload work you own or have the right to protect. You review every match before a notice is sent and you are responsible for the statements in it. Sending a notice you know is false can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
When you use the CopyCat extension, it fills in the platform’s report form with the notice and details you prepared in CopyCat. You are the one who reviews and submits the report, in your own name, from your own account. Only submit a report for work you own. We cannot guarantee that a platform removes a listing.
Search results depend on third-party services and may miss copies or include false matches. Match levels are estimates to help you decide; they are not legal conclusions.
Paid plans are billed monthly in US dollars and renew automatically until you cancel. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices shown exclude applicable sales tax or VAT, which is calculated at checkout.
You can cancel anytime from Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again. See our refund policy.
Do not use CopyCat to harass sellers, to file notices for work you do not own, to upload unlawful content, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
We may update these terms and will tell you by email about material changes. You can delete your account at any time. We may end the service with 30 days notice and refund any unused prepaid time.
CopyCat is provided as is. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
